Christmas Parade Season Kicks Off This Week: Your Ultimate Day-by-Day Guide to the Best Parades

Berlin

WHEN: Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, 7 p.m.

Join in the holiday spirit in downtown Berlin as the streets come alive with festive cheer! Watch as marching bands, dance teams, fire companies, and local organizations take part in the annual Christmas parade, led by none other than Santa Claus himself. The parade will start at 7 p.m. sharp, and shuttle services will be available from Berlin Intermediate School, thanks to Ocean Downs Casino.

Crisfield

TRADITIONAL PARADE: Saturday, Dec. 6, 2024, 6 p.m.

The Crisfield Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade kicks off at the city dock and makes its way toward the Crisfield Library. Watch for exciting entries as trophies are awarded for the best fire department, marching band, float, jeep, group entry, and overall best. BOAT PARADE: Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, 6 p.m.

Head to Somers Cove Marina to meet Santa and enjoy a magical boat parade. Watch festive boats glimmer with holiday lights as they cruise past Crisfield City Dock, Wellington Beach, the Crisfield American Legion, and stop by Tawes Nursing Home before returning to the marina.

Ocean City

WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, 11 a.m.

Grab your blankets and chairs for this year’s Ocean City Christmas Parade! The parade will start at 11 a.m. with an extended route from Old Landing Road to 120th Street. The southbound lanes of Coastal Highway will be closed, allowing plenty of space for spectators along the route. Following the parade, an awards ceremony will take place at the Carousel Hotel.

Chincoteague

WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, 6 p.m. (Rain date: Friday, Dec. 13, 2024)

Chincoteague’s parade promises to be a spectacular celebration! Starting at the intersection of Main Street and Maddox Boulevard, the parade will feature floats, marching units, decorated boats, fire companies, equestrian teams, classic cars, and a special appearance by Santa Claus. During the parade, the Chincoteague Police Department will collect new, unwrapped toys for their annual Toy Run. Afterward, head to the Chincoteague American Legion Post 159 for photos with Santa and enjoy hot dogs and refreshments provided by the Kiwanis Club.

Salisbury

WHEN: Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, 1 p.m. (Rain date: Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024)

This year’s Grand Marshal, WBOC’s Jimmy Hoppa, will lead the 78th Annual Salisbury Christmas Parade, hosted by the Salisbury Jaycees. The parade will begin at the corner of Civic Avenue and Mt. Hermon Road, winding its way down East Main Street. For any questions about the event, email parade@salisburyjc.com.

Snow Hill

WHEN: Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, 6:45 p.m.

The Snow Hill Lions Club presents the Snow Hill Christmas Parade on Dec. 9, 2024. Participants should begin lining up at 6 p.m. with the parade starting promptly at 6:45 p.m. For additional inquiries, call 410-430-5269.
