When Kamala Harris appeared on the view, she declined on Tuesday that she couldn’t distance herself from President Joe Biden’s record. She hit back at former president Donald Trump’s claims about the white house’s handling of the southern border and hurricane relief.
It was one of the multiple views that Harris is appearing for this week as her campaign tries to reach less politically engaged voters with the election less than a month out and early voting beginning in some states.
Harris chose to sit for optional platforms such as popular podcasts and social shows, instead of political news shows. She also attended a radio show by Howard Stern and will appear on, the Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ during a media blitz in New York.
in her first sittings on Tuesday, she was asked if she’ will do something different than Biden or will it be same,’ over the past four years.
There is not a single thing that comes to mind, ‘Harris said, she had been the part of every decision that had an impact in the Biden administration,’
She directed the point to legislation that capped the cost of insulin at $35 a month for seniors, she also mentioned that the efforts to lower the prescription drug prices.
She told the talk show that she has planned to expand and proceed with the health benefits not only for seniors but also for others, who need it,’
She hit Trump like hammering him and she accused Trump of being the reason that bipartisan immigration reform legislation had not passed in Congress, an allegation she is frequently raised. She said that Trump is the kind of a person who focuses more on war and runs on the problems, instead of finding solutions.
One of the bipartisan groups of senators used last month in crafting a border bill, but it went out of the stream on Capitol Hill after trump publicly opposed the push.
Harris also has accused trump of claims that Biden administration is supporting disaster aid from republican areas and diverting relief funds to housing for immigrants who do not have documents. In this charge that FEMA administrative has refuted as plain false,’ due to the destruction caused by hurricanes in southern east.
in reply of a comment that Trump gave,’ lives are literally at stake right now,’ Harris replied on appearance of the ‘ view ‘ that this is the height of irresponsibility and cowardness,’ she said on the view.
When she made her trips to Georgia and North Carolina, she saw people have lost their houses and there is no hope of returning and reconstructing those homes, she discussed these trips. Kamala Harris claims that Trump is a selfish person; he thinks and cares about himself more than the others. He puts himself before the needs of others. ‘
In one of her appearances about the hurricane, she mentioned that ‘people of Florida should listen to the local officials in concern of Milton and if they are asking to evacuate then do it. she warned that this one is going to be different.
According to Harris, the severity of the storm is the reason why she has been trying to reach the Florida government of DeSantis. Her statement was the latest volley in a dispute with Florida and its top officials.
She said, ‘We have to have an agreement that at some point, we all need to work together to combine resources, especially federal state and local resources, in case of these kinds of disasters. I feel it’s a shame that has not happened yet,’
DeSantis in an interview declared that Harris has not touched him until the hurricane arrived; he and Biden were in touch, as well as the FEMA about coordinating resources.
they said,’ Kamala has not interfered in any of the matters before, I have managed such storms and their disasters for many years, I know what it happening, she has never talked about this in her era of three and a half years.
Harris said to reporters that, ‘playing politics in the crisis of emergency or trouble, this is very irresponsible. This is simply that, you are playing politics in times of crisis and hardship, instead of helping people who are suffering out there. This is such a shame that you think of yourself rather than the needy people. This is such an irresponsible thing.
