How Hurricane Milton is Disrupting Flights, Cruises, Hotels, and Theme Parks across Florida

Hurricane Milton directed its way towards the Florida peninsula on Thursday leaving millions of people threatened, without power supply, flooding neighborhoods and destroying homes around.

In Florida, after all this destruction due to the hurricane, almost all airports have been closed and out of work, the theme parks and all other visiting places in Florida are halted. Some people are afraid of it and are moving further away. However, at the same time, some of the legendary people are still moving towards riding the hurricanes and floodings. Here we can say, where there is too much destruction in Florida, people are also visiting it for fun.

Here’s what travelers should know.

According to travel and flight data, more than 2200 U.S. flights were canceled on Thursday, The time noted is 8:30 am ET, but for Friday, 400 flights are canceled others are still in process.

Airport services including American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines have stated a public statement that allows travelers who are going in or out of Florida can change their tickets and they will not be charged extra for this purpose. This is not only applicable to the business class; also, the economic class can change it.

Airports that are currently not operating and are closed.

  • Daytona Beach International Airport closed at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
  • Gainesville Regional Airport will close at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday with plans to reopen at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
  • Lakeland Linder International Airport is closed.
  • Melbourne Orlando International Airport closed to commercial flights at 2 p.m. Wednesday and will remain closed Thursday.
  • Orlando International Airport ceased operations at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
  • Orlando Sanford International Airport is now closed.
  • Sarasota Bradenton International Airport is closed.
  • Southwest Florida International Airport is closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Pete-Clearwater International Airport is closed and will remain closed with all flights canceled Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Tampa International Airport is closed.
