Kaia Gerber Masters Fashion Flexes on the Red Carpet

We’re used to seeing Kaia Gerber dominate the runway, grace magazine covers, and star in striking ad campaigns, but her presence on the red carpet has recently taken center stage, driven in part by her blossoming acting career.

In the past, Gerber collaborated with top stylists to craft her red carpet image. Danielle Goldberg, the style visionary behind Gerber’s sleek looks, dressed her in an elegant Khaite turtleneck gown for the 2023 Time100 Gala and a vivid blue draped Alaïa dress for the Palm Royale premiere. Meanwhile, stylist Molly Dickson gave a nod to Gerber’s supermodel mother, Cindy Crawford, with a white bodycon Hervé Léger dress at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.

Known for her laid-back, boho-inspired daily wardrobe, Gerber has also shown she can make a powerful statement on the red carpet, recently choosing to style herself. She made her self-styling debut at the 2024 Time100 Gala, where she donned a black fringed Ferragamo minidress from the spring 2025 collection, becoming the first to wear the design just weeks after its runway debut.

Perhaps Gerber’s most impressive red carpet moment yet came at the 2024 Academy Museum Gala. She enlisted her close friend, Sarah Burton, Givenchy’s incoming creative director, to help her select a couture piece: a vintage My Fair Lady-inspired gown from Alexander McQueen’s 1997 Givenchy couture collection. Not only was the dress a showstopper, but it also added a historic touch to her red carpet repertoire.
