Trump Stops by McDonald’s, While Harris Receives Birthday Wishes

As only two weeks are left for elections in, the U.S. Kamala has visited two different churches on Sunday. At the same time, Donald Trump made a sport at McDonald accusing Kamala of lying that she had worked at the fast food chain. According to McDonald,’’ this is true that she had a summer job at McDonald’s in the 1980s.

Both candidates are busy in maintaining their sport. Harris and Trump are continuously involved in campaigning in key battleground states. Harris, the U.S. vice president encouraged early voters in Georgia. While Trump, the former president campaigned in Pennsylvania ahead of the November. 5 election.

At a church in Stonecrest, Georgia, Harris praised the bravery of those who responded to Hurricane Helene, which recently caused damage and loss of life in Florida. She spoke about her vision for a kinder and more united America, contrasting it with the divisive political climate, though she did not mention Trump by name. Harris told the congregation that some people try to divide the country, spread hate, and cause chaos. She urged voters to choose compassion and love.

In a more direct response, Harris spoke with MSNBC’s Al Sharpton about Trump’s earlier comments calling her a “terrible vice president,” saying, “The American people deserve so much better.”

Meanwhile, Trump visited a McDonald’s in suburban Philadelphia, where he removed his suit jacket, put on an apron, and cooked French fries, saying it was something he had always wanted to do. He handed out fries to supporters at the drive-thru, and many people lined the street to watch. Trump, known for his love of fast food, said he enjoyed the experience and joked about how much he liked the job.

Trump’s McDonald’s visit seemed to be a dig at Harris, who has said she worked at the chain during college. Trump claims she never worked there but has offered no proof.

As Harris celebrated her 60th birthday while campaigning near Atlanta, music legend Stevie Wonder performed at an event in Jonesboro, Georgia, singing “Higher Ground” and “Redemption Song.”

When asked about polls showing a lack of support from Black men, a key voting group for Democrats, Harris said she was working to earn their votes. She dismissed the idea that Black men were less supportive of her, stating, “They expect that you earn their vote, just like any other voter.”

Harris will need strong support in majority non-white cities like Detroit and Atlanta to help President Joe Biden repeat his 2020 wins in Michigan and Georgia.

At a rally in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Trump wished Harris a happy birthday, which was met with boos from the crowd. He then continued to criticize her policies and questioned her mental sharpness.
